Susan Homewood originally specialised in music manuscripts and early in her career spent seven years as Editor at Peters Edition, London. She later broadened her sphere into books and lifestyle magazines working for various publishers, eventually leading the MA in Publishing Production at the University of the Arts, London. There she created and delivered courses for industry professionals and founded Britain’s first postgraduate course for the classical music publishing industry.

Susan created Hornbeam Publishing in 2006 to take on a range of publishing activities mainly for the arts and heritage sector and, more recently, also for the beauty and healthcare industries.

Susan holds an Advanced Diploma in English Local History from the University of Oxford’s Department of Continuing Education, an Honours Degree in Classical Music from King’s College London and Goldsmiths’ University, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education from the University of Greenwich. Away from work, she is currently studying domestic piano music in Georgian England.
